Help......do you have a monthly budget?!

Question: Help!.!.!.!.!.!.do you have a monthly budget!?
I've been trying to budget but it's not going very well I still keep buying things that I guess I shouldn't have!. Are all fun things off limit, no joy riding, eating out, movies, new clothes, shoes, wine or partying are all those things just a flat out no no!. If you have a strict budget do you just stay home all the time and if so what do you do for fun or how do you reward yourself for paying the bills and working everyday!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

The key to a good budget is to leave yourself some wiggle room!. A budget that accounts for every penny is too tight to live with!. It's alot easier to control your spending if you still get to do a little (Not alot, a little)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am going thru the same thing! I just allocated a certain portion of my paycheck to "entertainment" a month, by figuring out what i have to pay in bills!. When i wrote everything out i realized how much money i was wasting in going out for lunch/dinner as opposed to eating in, driving to places i didnt need to be and shopping when I had no room in my closet!. Go through your closet and bring old clothes to consignment, have a tag sale or sell stuff on ebay for extra cash, i am doing that as well!. You have to reward yourself for your hard work during the week but instead of going out and having 4 or 5 drinks, limit yourself to two! Buy the 20$ bottle of wine instead of the $40! good luckWww@Enter-QA@Com

we are on a pretty tight budget-we only buy the things we really and truly need!. Ask yourself do I really and truly need now or can it wait for a little while-remember things do go on sale!. I have to ask myself if I really want but end up waiting then discover it went on sale!. Sometimes I waited to long and the item is gone (my fault but then I guess I didn't really need it just wanted it) As for fun we have board games or stay at home and watch tv!. Every once in awhile we treat ourselves but not very often!. Good Luck!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

i get paid once a month (teacher salary)!. i make a list of all my bills!. i subtract the total of bills amt!. from amt!. i get paid!. i also subtract a lil bit to save for emergencies, etc!. then i know how much i have left for food, gas, and misc!.

also, i have my money put in my acct!. thru direct deposit!. i have my bills paid thru direct pay out of my acct on specific days after the pay day date!.

i refuse to use credit cards!. if i do not have the money for something, i dont get it!. its just that simple!.

so far, i am staying within my means and all my bills, etc!. are getting paid and i always have plenty left over to tinker with!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I dont make much money so imo spending money on frivolous things is like setting myself up!.!.there are more important things i need to save my money for!.

i really dont even have time usually to go do things because i spend my time working a lot!. but its fine cause by working overtime now and having two jobs it gives me money to be able to do things later!. but for now i just work so i can enjoy my free time later!. its better to be stress free with money than blow it all on some short-lasting times with frends!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It really all depends on your situation!. I try to always put 5% of income aside for fun!. Sometimes what I want requires that I wait and save for two sometimes three months, but that also helps me aquire the discipline I need to get bills paid and children fed!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Once you start working and supporting yourself unless you are making gazillion dollars a month you have to budget!. First make a list of all your expenses, like rent, phone, bills
etc!. These are the FIRST thing you have pay!. then figure out how much money you have left!. Put some money into savings even if it is only 10!.00 Don't touch that money unless you are in a big emergency (not that you need a new outfit) this is
to bail you out if something bad happens like you lose your
job or the car conks out!. Then think about what you need to pay in the way of food, gifts, clothes etc!. set aside amounts of that!. What's left is what you can spend!. Don't charge
things unless you can pay for them the same month that way you save on interest charges were are awful like 28%!. Don't use a bank machine unless you absolutely have to because you pay for every withdrawal!. You could end up paying more in bank charges than you realize!. Try not to impulse buy!. If you see a pair of shoes you think you have to have wait 24 hours before you buy them!. It could be by the next day you
have shook off the 'I must have it' and have just saved yourself that money!. Don't do what I did and run up 10,000 worth of charge card debt in the first year and half I was working!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
