Question: Does this sound like the beginning of a poem or a story!?
The thrill of racing across an open field allows me to let go of everything!. The people chasing me!. The puma about to rip me to shreds!. The stallion ready to battle me to the death!.
Galloping makes me feel great!. The wind in my mane!. My tail flowing carelessly behind me!. The mountains flying by, but staying dormant!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, neither actually!. It definitely isn't standard either one, so I can see why you posted the question you did!. On the surface, the way you lay out the text, it comes off as a story of course!. But the lack of articles, the terseness of the grammar, the broken narration and the sentence fragments scream poem all day!. If you severed the text into lines that each end where you intend to put emphasis, or where you feel there should be forced upon the reader a pause within which they will have a moment to dwell in the position you place them in, this has the potential to be a rather captivating poem!. I wouldn't try to turn it into a story unless you rearranged the format to a more grammatically correct forum; not that you couldn't pull that off with effective editing, but I think the way you have it presented now affords you more opportunity to create a free verse poem!. You seem to present the speaker as both predator AND prey, which is interesting!
Either way, the material is good in that it offers extensive imagery, and is subject matter with exciting contrast in concepts and motion both!. I would like to see it, personally, developed as a poem, and then posted here for public critique when you get it done; or if it's too long to post here upon its completion, post us a link to where it ends up!.
