Themosflasks? - poll?!

Question: Themosflasks!? - poll!?
Now that summer is upon us again (the season not the weather) I have hunted out my trusty old Thermos so I can take drinks when I go out in the car!.

Unfortunatly it is smelly Musty despite washing it properly before I put it away last year!.

Anyone know how to get rid of this smell!?

How many of you are planning a picnic this weekend!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
wash the Flask (again) as it will have developed Mildew over the storage time!. hot water and dish washing liquid will suffice!.
then , rinse thoroughly with hot water , at least 4 times , to get rid of soapy residue and then fill with hot water and add 4 drops of vanilla Essesnce and let sit o/night!.
this will take away the smell and remove any build-up of crud in the recesses that you can`t reach with a cleaning utensil/brush!.
simply rinse out 2 times with hot water (again) and presto!.!.!.!.1 flask ready for use!.

p!.s!. !.!.!.!.!.!.!.next time you wash the flask to put away for storage , let it stand "up-side-down" on the sink for at least 2 days (if in cold weather) so that ALL of the moisture can get out of the flask and DON`T screw the cap/lid on while in storage!.
stand the flask up-side-down while in storage with a piece of cotton covering the opening , as well!. this drains the flask completely and the cotton stops insects and dust entering the flask!.
pop the lid into a plastic bag and tape the bag to the flask!.
again , protection and not a lost cause , as the lid won`t get to go too far from the flask!.!.!.!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I heard that bicarb is great for removing smells!.
I guess you could put some in the flask, add a little water, put the top on, shake around a bit and leave it for a few hours, then rinse well!.
Then store it with the top off to prevent it getting musty again!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Boiling water and bleach!.

Then wash it out THOROUGHLY and repeatedly with cold water!. Dry it with a hairdryer to ensure no moisture is remaining, which could stagnate and smell!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Try some white vinegar solution to get rid of the smell and obviously rinse it well before using it!.

No picnic planned this weekend but might have a bbq!Www@Enter-QA@Com
