!.!.!.i'd put it this way: generally, people know that whatever is said or done to another person could affect his (the other person's) convictions, emotions, and peace!.!. now, this could result to either good or bad things/events that would, as a consequence, be a reason to feel guilty for!.!. and taking responsibility is a lonesome cause!.
in retrospect, people in themselves, are not usually receptive to comments and unsolicited advices!. and more often than not, these outside reactions on a personal matter only lead to pointless arguments and confusion!.!. thus, no help appears to have been extended after all!.
that is why, we come up with such rhetorics as:
"to each, his own!.!." "it's your life; live it!.!."
and my favorite: "your rights end where my nose begins!.!."Www@Enter-QA@Com
