Question: How inclinded are people to judge someone they haven't met, just from what they heard about that person!?
Answers:
when people have only information based on other peoples reputations, a lot of people base their opinion on that automatically!. If you heard something like "such and such person sleeps around with other peoples boyfriends" would you have an automatic opinion like 'ok this isnt someone i want to be around or even bother with' or would you still care enough about that person, someone you dont know, to go be friends with them and take the chance of them sleeping with your man!? probably not!. i dont know what opinion people have of you that you are specifically talking about or what it has to do with, but most people are not open to the risk of bothering with someone if they have some kind of bad reputation!. whatever it may be!. i was just using that as an example!. if someone hears something negative about a person their idea of them unfortunately isnt going to be great!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Depends on what's said and by whom!. My true friends know better than to bad-mouth someone others have never met b/c they are mature, hate gossip, and have been victims of misrepresentation themselves!. The few times they have said negative things about someone, it was for my physical protection (someone who was abusive for example)!.
I don't listen to what coworkers and acquaintances say about a colleague or peer; I tend to be skeptical of anyone who badmouths someone who isn't present to defend themselves!.
That said, I tend to be cynical about the great new guy or woman my friends date!. If they say that they personally like or trust him/her, that's fine!. When they say, "YOU will love him/her", I snicker inside!. I know the blinders one can have when one is infatuated, myself included!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If it's something their care little about probably less!. If its more then more likely more, especially if the persons opinion is different from their own!.
