POLL: What is an appropriate weight for a male who is 69.5 inches tall?!
Question: POLL: What is an appropriate weight for a male who is 69!.5 inches tall!?
Answers:
At 5' 9!.5" tall whatever those insurance charts say I think it depends on the guy's age!. I like a guy with some meat on his bones, 190 is appropriate for my taste but then I'm not a cardiologist!. I'm wondering why Tim Russert's stress test failed him!?
EDIT: My research via www!.consumerepotson health!.org July 2008 indicates the following regarding weight and health!.
"When the tape is mightier than the scale!.
The scale won’t tell you much about your health!.
For that the best indicator is turning out to be your circumference, which indicates abdominal obesity!. That’s important; since belly fat is more metabolically active than fat stored in the hips and thighs and is a strong signal of increased risk of disease!. Recent studies also found a strong association between early death and a large waist-to-hip ratio!.
In men a waist of 40 inches or greater is cause for concern and in women a waist of 35 inches or greater!. A healthy waste-to-hip ratio for men is 0!.9 and for women it’s 0!.8 (for the waist-to-hip ratio divide the waist measurement by the hip measurement!.)"
