While in the Marines, I went with some buddies to a party in Pacific Beach (thats California) and we soon ran out of booze, it was past midnight so we couldn't buy any more legally and we didn't know any bootleggers, so we piled into the car and took off for Mexico, about 45 miles away, got the booze down there and then went to the Red Door, a strip joint, got really plastered, got into a fight with someone, can't remember who or why and ended up in the jail!. The end results were when we finally got back to the base in Camp Pendleton, we all got "office Hours" for being UA Unauthorized Absence, and we were assigned to the mess hall for two weeks, thus ended my days of going to mexico to buy booze!.
