I'm seventeen, so I'm surrounded by these brain-dead tards who say things like "I LOVE emo! Pete Wentz is so hot!"
People! Gah! I think the one reason most real music fans dislike bands like Fall Out Boy and Metro Station is because of their main audience!.
Real Emo existed back in the '90s with amazing bands; Sunny Day Real Estate for example (they were a little Post-Emo, but still)
The stuff referred to as Emo nowadays is pretty much Alternative at best!.
Stop thinking you're hardcore because you listen to Emo and Rock!.

I like FOB and MCR!.
But I know they are NOT emo!. They're more punk pop!.
I don't like the bands just because of the frontman's looks, okay!? I actually listen to the music and prefer the older songs than the newer songs!.
Just because I like those bands doesn't mean I like sh-tty music!.

I HATE my chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy is ok, but I never really thought of them as emo!. I don't like bands because of their reputation, especially not if they have a reputation as emo!. I'd say those two bands would go under the alternative genre, but i don't know!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
