Why do so many people misspell "color" as "colour"?!

Question: Why do so many people misspell "color" as "colour"!?
Answers:
because they are dumb!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

In actual fact you misspell colour as color!. Most English speaking countries spell colour with the "u"!. American English has used a phonetic approach to spelling creating differences in many common words, eg, the "u" is dropped from colour, favourite, harbour, labour, neighbour to name a few whilst words like centre and theatre have had the last two letters transposed (reversed) and a third example is not doubling the final consonant when adding 'ing' or 'ed', eg, traveling instread of travelling!. Whilst it may be easier to spell it also removes the root or derivation of the original word as English is a meld of many languages!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it's not a misspelling!
that's actually how most of the people who speak english and don't live in america spell it! so i think that "color" is the wrong spelling!. it's the same with favourite and neighbour!. it's just different english, just how in england, you say "garden" instead of "yard"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
