No!. But I have said things that hurt people!. Most of the time I was telling the person something that they were doing that hurt other people!. Most people don't want to hear the truth about themselves!. So their feelings get hurt!. Once they face the things I told them, they usually come to me and tell me I was right!.
One example is that my nephew has a habit of breaking up best friends!. Usually one friend is the nice girl who is totally in love with him!. But his pattern is to try to make the person who doesn't have feelings for him fall in love with him!. (Mother issues too complicated to explain) So he uses the friend who is in love with him to get to the one that isn't!. Then he pours on the charm!. He is very cute and very charming!. Once he gets the uninterested girl, he stops paying attention to the interested girl!. She is usually crushed!. Six months to a year later, when the uninterested girl is totally interested, he looses interest!. Then the cycle starts all over again!. I have seen him repeat this pattern 5 or 6 times!.
He is almost 23 now and I thought it was time to tell him about himself, since he doesn't seem to see what he is doing!. I wrote him a letter and laid it all out!. He hasn't spoken to me since!. In my mind, I would hope he will start noticing what he is doing before he marries some girl and then divorce her because he lost interest!. And if kids are in the picture, that would be devistating!. I would rather he hate me forever and be aware of what he is doing, than to keep watching him mess up his life and the lives of the girls he dates!. He saw it as an attack and I saw it as being honest!.
If you are talking about people who are just mean to be mean, that usually is about low self-esteem!. Some people are so sad or abused, they want to throw off their pain to try to feel better!. It never works, but they don't know any other way to vent their pain!. Some people are afraid of other people's talent or ability, so they try to put them down to try to seem better!. So purposely hurting others comes down to sadness, fear, pain and low self-esteem!. I guess my hurting my nephew came down to my sadness over his life choices!. I feel better for saying something and in the long run, if he doesn't keep doing what he has been doing, it will have been worth it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
