Question: "Greatest of all time drummer, guitarist, bassist, etc!." - What criteria do you use!?
When these questions are asked, they usually lead to some pretty heated debates amongst some dedicated folks!.
So, I ask all of you: What criteria would one use when they think of "greatest of all time"!?
Record sales!?
Length of career!?
Technical ability!?
Influence among peers!?
"Coolness" factor!?
I always find it interesting when I read the "SRV vs Eric Clapton" questions or similar!. How can you seriously say one artist is better than the other!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the only criteria that should matter is ability and coolness factor!.
I can't seriously say one is better than another-unless technically (by ability) they are-like Poison's guitarist (where I have enjoyed some Poison songs) is no where near someone like Clapton, Page, Beck etc in ability!. Now when the skills are comparable like Clapton to Page-I can't seriously say one is better but I can say I like Page better!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
