I've only had *one* email address all this time!. ^_^ It's been well over ten years, I got my email address a little bit *before* the World Wide Web hit it big, back in 1997 or so!. I got on the Web in 1998!.
(*sighs*) And now, my local community network, home of my email address, is calling it quits at the end of this year!. Spammers have just been too much for it to handle lately, and the network's university sponsors have been *maniacally stingy*, to a fault even, in terms of helping out!. The anti-spam system they have now (that's having to run at 10-15 times normal capacity to keep up) was bought almost *entirely* with volunteer donations!.
It's sad too!. My local community network did *so much* good work, not just with helping poor and rural elderly people get on the internet locally, but also with working with people in other nations too in "sister city projects"!. This sudden end interrupted the good work they were doing in *Sao Tome* in Africa!.
So yeah!. By the end of this year, my ISP will be dead, and nobody really cares!. What's a mere dial-up community cheapnet anyway!? Right!?
