Perhaps more so looking for a flaw in your question or are they in it for OUR enjoyment & thus NOT self loathing!? OR are they simply using this as another format to sell themselves and don't care at all!?

I don't think they care at all!. They just want the usage numbers up in order to charge high advertising and link fees!. They are willing to do anything and everything to monopolize our online time! :)
