College! Top or bottom bunk?!
Question: College! Top or bottom bunk!?
Ok,
I move in on the 21st of August!. I've never shared a room with anyone as I've never had any brothers or sisters!. Some dorms have bunks and mine probably will!. I'll get there 10 days anyone else is allowed to move in, because marching band starts early!. Assuming I am not rooming with another marching band member, I'm going to have the room to myself for over a week before she moves in!.
Opinion Questions:
1!. If you HAD to live in a room with a bunk would you be happier on the top or the bottom!? Why!?
2!. If it's possible to separate a bunk (which I know most you can), would you recommend doing so in a dorm!?
3!. Any other suggestions or advice for me!?

i was in a dorm room my first semester, and the beds could be bunked!. I think you should stack them, it gives you a lot more space in the room (and that's important)!.
I slept in the top bunk and it was alright!.
Pros of top bunk:
-Nobody sits on your bed!.
-On the bottom bunk, the whole bed will shake when the top person moves, which can wake you up
The cons:
-You have to climb up there
-You might fall off (i never did)
-If you make your bed, it's a big painWww@Enter-QA@Com

I would separate the beds if possible!. Put them on opposite sides of the room and each person can have their own space!. If you find that you like your roommate, you can bunk the beds and have more room for a couch or anything else!. If the beds cannot be separated, I would take the bottom bed!. This way you're not climbing a ladder all the time and can store things under the bed!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
personally, having had bunk beds before
would prefer having the top bunk
because whenever I'm on the bottom
I have the fear that the top bunk might come
down on me!.!. I dont know why, lol!.
But then I have the other dilemma
of my fear of hights

Well it takes up space!.!.!.so I wouldn't recommend separating it!

If you get the bottom bunk, you need some time getting used to climbing out of bed without hitting your head :P It's really up to you, but I really like the bottom bunk :P Oh plus!.!.!.you can shake the bunk beds and make the person on top freak out :P Haha :PWww@Enter-QA@Com

If your roomate is a heavy set person offer them the bottom!
I'd be happier on the bottom personally!. And being a heavy set or bigger person myself my roomate would appreciate that lol!.
Well maybe for space purposes you should keep them together!. If the room is big enough separate them!.

I prefer the top bunk!. I'm not sure why, I just like it better!. :) more exciting!. haha!.
If the room was really crowded or small, I wouldn't separate the bunk!.
