Those little spikes help rasp off the smallest bits of flesh from the bones of their prey!.

The little spikes also act as tiny buckets as the cat laps up water!. Notice how a cat drinks!. If they had a smooth tongue it would take a lot more work to get a drink!.

And their spiky tongue helps in grooming!. The grooming keeps the cat's scent down and makes the cat harder to detect by smell!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
