Politics and religion are forbidden subjects to discuss at gatherings within my circle of friends!. However, after a few drinks one particular politician know it all cannot restraint himself despite repeated reminders to cease!. I have screamed my lungs out at him and then walked out of a house party!. which my best friends were hosting!. "That" very loud mouthed "President" of the ** Party was drunk, being so loud and obnoxious that I could not tolerate his behavior any longer!. It was impossible to carry on a conversation with another friend who had been in the British Army "SAS"!.
also young teens (13-16 or even 18) who think they know it all, interrupting adult converstaions, poking their noses into these matters, criticizing about our perceptions of the subject, then judging us!. They are then guilty of the very thing for which they are criticizing us!. And, they are totally unaware and walk off in disgust when we try to "explain" to them!. They refuse to hear and listen!.
Now I find that is very rude and frustrating!. I have to bite my tongue and suck it up!. I can tell the parents later, but they say, "Oh Rob, they are works in progress, ignorant teens who think that they know it all!. They will eventually learn!."
O!.K!. - meanwhile - Aaarrrrggggghhhhhh! - especially to self-centerd, loud-mouthed egocentric politicians and political hacks!.
