Yes I have and loved every minute of it!. My daughter and I stayed at the Ukraine hotel which is situated on the banks of the river and only a short bus ride to Red Square, and Arabat Street!.
Security is extremely tight and in some places you are not allowed to take a camera!. However, if you decide to pay an English speaking guide to take you around, some restrictions are lifted
The sights are amazing and the people were extremely friendly!. We found a superb bar/restaurant close to the hotel and the staff fell over themselves to serve us!. They were also pleased that we could help them with their English!. The owner of the restaurant treated us to a meal and drinks the night before we left to come home!.
One thing to remember though, in some shops the prices are in Rubles and others in US dollars, but they don't state this in the shops!. I bought a couple of items in one store thinking the prices were very reasonable, but ended up paying ￡200!.
Prostitution is legal in Russia so you may see groups of girls sitting in the bar area in the hotels but they are very discreet and won't approach you!. More so if you are there with your family!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
