Question: Why is the world so corrupt and crappy!?
First off, my college web site is a piece of crap!. I've been trying to just schedule an appointment online and I frickin couldn't!. Utterly ridiculous!.
So today I went to Verizon because my cell phone (GLYDE - DO NOT BUY IT) has been acting up after only 2 months!. I've been a customer of Verizon for 6 years!.
Well, I tried to take it back and asked them what they could do!.!.!.!.since it was past the 30 day warranty, but I was wondering if I could get a different phone, even a downgrade, but they said I would have to pay FULL price!. Or I could send it back to Samsung and get the same frickin POS phone!. So I left the store, fuming!
Then on the way home a guy in the middle lane almost nailed my car and I beeped as I flew by!.
Then on one of the roads there was a tractor in the opposite lane going extremely slow, so a guy just decides to pass him and almost hits my car head-first!. I also beeped my car as I drove by!.
Then there was tree work being done on the side of the road!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

In short, because we've let it become so!. We put up with abusive, greedy companies like Verizon (just because their commercials get stuck in our heads), we put up with lousy drivers when we could (*hint*) use our cell phone to report the license plate number to the police!.!.!.!.
Now granted, I'm not blaming our Gentle Asker for everything here!. Everybody has a really messed-up day some days!.
And there is some *inertia* here!.!.!.!.we've been told by the Media, over and over again, to "not care, caring is Politically Correct and of the Devil!!", and we've been told this since 1982 at least, under Reagan!. I get this!. ^_^
But!.!.!.!.we've been *refusing* to mind the damned store for so long our roads and bridges are *falling apart* and nobody knows why!. WTF!? >_< And really!.!.!.!.if we weren't so passive and/or selfish, lots of these things (like cuts in levee funding for New Orleans, pre-Katrina) just wouldn't have happened!. We *knew about* Osama bin Laden almost a full *Year* before 9-11--yes, we did, he was interviewed in Afghanistan for *Esquire Magazine*, hello!? Don't make me dig up the literal print issue, I *Will*!.!.!.!.
But I digress!. Point is, we've been asleep at the wheel, lulled there by the Media, who are *owned* by companies like Verizon and Wal-Mart and Microsoft, who are just out to *screw over* people like us so the CEOs can have more money *they will never be able to spend*!. Every time a problem comes up and it's a public problem, well-paid Talk Radio Heads show up too, to piss and moan about "high taxes" until people *refuse to act*!. Serious!.
We've been brainwashed into thinking that *doing something* about our problems is bad!. That wanting to actually fix things, for real, is a bad thing!.
That has to stop!. And we have to start waking up at the wheel, with *ourselves*!. Get a lawyer about the Verizon thing, you may well have an "Implied Warranty--Fitness of Use" case on your hands with the cellphone, depending on the laws of your state in that regard!. Start ratting out the lousy drivers who honk at and threaten *your life and limb* with their antics!. Do what you can do to *make* your life better!.
Solve problems and *screw* the companies like Verizon! It's that simple!.
