In spite of the many guesses, SOS stands for nothing!. It was adapted simply because if its simplicity!. They could have selected other letter combinations that were equally as simple but they chose that one!. It DOES NOT STAND FOR ANY PHRASE OR WORD GROUPINGS, it is simply an easy letter group to send!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
This acronym actually originated with sailors!. When their ship got in trouble, they would send out an S!.O!.S, or save our ship, to other ships around them!. Now, its not really used by it's true meaning!. People usually use the term S!.O!.S as a referral to asking somebody to save them from someone or something!. Me and my friends use it as a joke :))
