I'm almost 18 and I just want to get my Permit so i can Learn how to drive!. Not get the driving license right away and my dad still doesn't want me to learn how to drive!.

Your dad is completely unreasonable in this situation!. When you are 18, you are a legal adult, so you can drive, play the lotto, purchase cigarettes, etc!. But I don't know why your dad doesn't want you to learn how to drive!? Being able to drive is very important, and every of my friends parents urged their kids to learn how to drive as early as possible!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Once you turn 18, he can't control you, cause you'll be a legal adult!. Technically, you can get it without his permission!.
I'm almost 14, and my parents already WANT me to study for my permit o_O
Explain to him that you want to be independant, and part of being independant is not having to rely on your parents/ public transportation to go anywhere!. If he doesn't listen to you, tough for him, cause once you're 18 you don't need parental permission!.
