Stop worrying so much!.

It's like the person above me said!. Houses/apt!.s that are too dark, or quiet, or not very well-lit are better targets for thieves!. They really don't want any confrontations, or to get caught, or to harm anyone!.
Thieves just usually want your stuff, to quick sell for money!. If they pass yours, and see lots of activity, kids, noise, lights, etc!. then they won't be as apt to go there!.

They're looking for the people who aren't home!. Doesn't matter what size the house is!. They are usually not into harming people, and want a quick, clean "In and Out'!. There are a lot of houses/apt!.s with single mothers, but they don't have time to linger and ask if there's a boyfriend or husband around, trust me! :)

Houses that are isolated are more targetable, but still, if they see lights, they'll pass you by more often than not!. And another Good Idea is to get your hands on an alarm Sticker, or even better, - an alarm!.
Leave some key lights on, and a car in the driveway, even if you have to ask a neighbour to park their car in yours!.
If you're in an apartment, forget it!. They won't bother you!.
Hope this helps!.

it all depends!. alot of robberies do occur in really nice houses in the suberbs but robberies occur in all types of place from apartments to mansains but chances are a person wont just drive past your house and say "Hmmm i think i'll rob that place!" they're gonna get to know more about the family that lives there!. If you are a single mom and you're really paranoid go over saftey plans with your kids!. what to do if they think someones in the house or what to do if they see something suspicious outside!. You'll probably be fine though i've lived with 5 kids in a single parent home for a long time now and nothing's ever happened to us just be precasoiusWww@Enter-QA@Com

Houses with little to no lighting, lots of shrubs and bushes, Secluded back yards with big privacy fences!. Put up motion sensitive lights, get a dog and clear anything that would give an intruder a good place to hide from joe public while he/she broke into your home!. also a cheap alarm system with a sign informing people of it's presents is a good deterrent too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

A home with poor lighting at night, occupants are away from home a lot, non existent security system, easy access,Sometimes the thief will scope your house out for a few days to get your schedule down, expensive items in the house, Jewelry, art work, etc!. the best way to prevent this is to secure your home, have motion lights installed, never leave your door or windows open, and leave a light on from time to time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think you just need to get a plan of action in order!. A just in case!. Look into getting an alarm system installed (they have wireless alarm units that are cheap and easy to use) or go to WalMart and get some alarm units that can go on a door or window (these can't be monitored by a company like ADT or Brinks, just battery noise makers), should they open a loud noise will sound that will wake you or your kids, and hopefully scare away anyone!. But don't drive yourself crazy trying to figure out if you'll be the next house!. Just use common sense and play it safe!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Isolated, no alarm system, not well lit, not good locks on the doors no bars on the windows!.
Thieves are looking for an easy hit, above all!.
Generally they would prefer to get in and out while you are gone!.
Home invasion is much riskier for them!.

Get good locks!.
Know your neighbors!.
Get an alarm!.

Generally speaking, any house with a security breach would be ideal!. Burglaries happen often in broad daylight, in full view of the neighbours!. As nosy as people are, they tend to mind their own business when a neighbour is being robbed!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Houses in the middle of nowhere, doors and windows left unlocked, no alarm, valuable property, people away from home for long periods of time very often!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Usally if its secluded and as large plate glass windows or other things that could make a B and E easier!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It is most likely that thieves would steal from big houses with no car out front!. This is because it looks like u are rich and nobodys home!.
