Question: Poll: Are/were you closer to your Mother or your Father !?

Hmm!. Good question!. Dad wasn't there much, and when he was, he was doing what he wanted to do around the house!. Got impatient with this little hyper son often, when he tried to show me something new!.
Thing is, I am his only son!. And I looked-up to him, regardless!.
I found out years later that he was and still is a crack ping-pong player!. We were at a family reunion a few years back, and all us guys were havinga go at this table in the back room!. He grabbed two paddles and handed me one!. I'm 40-something and he's almost 70!. He whooped me! And I'm not so bad at it myself!.!.!.Never once played the game with me as a kid!. I wondered why at the time, and wondered to myself what he thought about that, but I just smiled at him smiling back at me as he patted my back (in defeat), as my cousins and uncles took their turns!.
I learned how to play baseball from my neighborhood friend, my age, and from my coach!. I got pretty good!. When I got a hit, or caught a long one in the outfield, or crossed the plate, I only remember my coach and the other guys "high-fiving" me!.
And he only took me fishing once that I remember!.
When I left home to go to college, he divorced my mom, then married the woman he had been having an affair with for years!. He would've been more forgivable had he just broke it off, fessed-up and tried to keep our family together!. Instead, they broke apart two families!.
Great!.!.!.way to go, Dad!. All that love!. And he wonders why I hardly call him now!.
Maybe I should call him more often!.!.!.I dunno, the spirit just ain't there this day!. I got things to do!. Mom needs a ride to the store today!.

Definitely my mother! My father scared me! My mother would do fun things with me!. My father punished and yelled a lot!. He even spanked us kids with a canoe paddle! And he smoked all the time, even in the car with us all in there, and wouldn't let us roll down the windows!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
