Yes!. I am 37 and have always thought 18 should be the legal age!. If you are old enough to vote and fight for your country then you are old enough to drink!. If they are not going to lower the drinking age then the need to raise the draft and voting age!.

Yes!. I fully agree with these university presidents!. Unless you've been to college in recent years you have no idea what penalizing the 18-20 set for having one drink (or one bottle of beer in their room) does to the student-police relationship!. At my university, I wouldn't call the university police even when my friend was beaten until unconscious!. If we had called he would have been kicked out of school - he had been drinking (at age 21) and our school a rule that if you get in a fight (even if you are attacked and beaten) while drinking you would be thrown out!. Fearing the university police to this extent was typical at my university!. Changing the drinking age will make students trust the university police more and hence less criminal behavior will be tolerated!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
When I was under 21, I felt that way too, especially since I had to sign up for "selective service" (selective service is a nicer phrase than draft list) when I was 18 or go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200 (as did every other 18 year-old male that I knew in high school)!. But since there was no draft between 18 and 21 for me, I'm not as concerned about it now!. I'd rather they just increase the "selective service" age to 21!. I think that if the government thinks that if someone is not responsible enough to drink that they should not be willing to train that person to kill people!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
If they teach kids to drink responsibly and in moderation then they should lower the age!. Telling them to not do it at all doesn't usually work

Yes, and kids should be allowed to drink with their meals!. This would teach people to drink responsibly, as opposed to drinking for the sake of getting drunk, and would also take away the taboo factor, which causes some teens and young adults to end up going over board when they do drink!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i think that we should do things like they do in europe!. have a really lax, young drinking age!. it would stop the dangerous binge drinking that kids are starting to do now even in middle school since alcohol would be less alluring since it wouldn't be so "off limits"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
