That word is from Little Britain first series, Andy name his pet – snake, thumper!.

The word Poofy, they use it a lot with the gays!.!.!.!.

Andy decides he wants a snake!.!.!.!.Lou says "you don't like snakes - we came for a rabbit"

Andy - "I want a snake"

So after some discussion they get Andy a snake!.!.!.and on the way out Lou asks "so what are you gonna call him then!?

Andy replies "Thumper"!.!.!.!.Which is a rabbit's name! - Genius!

Poofy means to be "like a poof" and a poof is an effeminate maleWww@Enter-QA@Com

Not to sure about Thumper!.
But Poofy always mean't "effeminate" or "camp" as in a non masculine Gay man!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
