Do you think some folk take this online business too serious?!

Question: Do you think some folk take this online business too serious!?
I was just speaking with one of my contacts there who apparently has "fell in love" with someone on here, funnily enough they've never met the person they've "fell in love" with and from what they've told me already they seem to "fall in love" with every person that takes an interest in them!

Maybe it's just me but I think of the internet as a big, bad and scary place where I should keep my information to myself, not go looking for love or whatever as we never really know who's on the other computer which to me is scary!. Just how can you look for love on an internet site!? how is it possible!?

What do you think!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
We should never take it too seriously!. I do find it interesting and I think it's possible to be hooked on the intellect of someone!. You might not have a clue who they are, but you know from the things they say and how they say it, that they are stars!.

I'm quite touched that Chav Princess found her partner on Answers!. I can't imagine her sleep walking into that though!. It's nice to think it was a meeting of minds!.

I try to be as obscure as I can about my personal details!. I wouldn't want an unwelcome visitor at my door!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Tell me about it! I am seriously worried about a friend who is obsessed about second life!. In reality the guy is fat, fifty and ultra-long term unemployed, but I keep getting emails about how well his romance and businesses are doing; but none of it is real! It's all he talks about, he almost never goes out!. I tried to persuade him to come down to a real pub and let me buy him a real drink and talk with some real people, but he said he couldn't because he had an important meeting in second life he couldn't miss!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I totally agree!. They are just desperate for attention!. It's one thing feeling like you've connected with someone,it's quite another when you are giving too much away to strangers on the other end of an internet connection!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the concept of socialising and been interactive on the net is still relative new!.!.so therefore people find it hard to conceive such an idea well just because it's hard to grasp, doesn't make it impossible !Www@Enter-QA@Com

The internet is meant to be fun!. Its not the place to find love!. I totally agree!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

you should treat the internet as harmless fun and NEVER give out personal informationWww@Enter-QA@Com

I met my partner on answers and we've now been together for 9 months, i wasn't looking for love but we just got chatting as we found each other funny and turns out we only lived 45 mins from each other!.!.!.it just happened!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love you!
Only kidding!
I think people spend too much time on the net when they should be out meeting real people!.Maybe I should take my own advice!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

hah yer sum times i take it way to seriouslyWww@Enter-QA@Com

I think you are absolutely right!. I talk to a few people on here, but I know I'll never meet them, and (often) I don't even know if they are being genuine or not!. However, I have some really great conversations, and it's fantastic to chat to these people!.
The only time I would ever meet someone from the internet is if I'd found them on a site that I like (for example, something about guitars), and they live in my area!. That way I could meet them in town and work it from there slowly and safely, but in person!. However, I'm not looking for love so I doubt that would ever happen! =oDWww@Enter-QA@Com
