No!. It's my opinion that people who make that prejudice assumption suffer from a sad feeling of inadequacy and need to put people down to bring themselves back up!.

Some feel they have need of said cars for their work, others!.!.!.have other needs, and perhaps are not best fulfilling them!.

Seems to me they come with their own liabilities (don't ask me to parallel park a HUMMER!.!.!.aside from all the vague sexual innuendo involved, it just ain't happening!.!.!.and driving one in rush-hour construction traffic seems almost as much fun as driving a semi!.!.!.and how much are semi drivers willing to pay for the fun of working at their job!?), along with any benefits they may bring (of which I remain unconvinced)!.
So!.!.!.yes, I suspect far too many who drive big flashy cars, or small flashy sportscars, or otherwise conspicuously consume, are doing their part in encouraging the whole "keeping up with the Joneses" phenomenon, rather than doing so because they truly 'need' those awesome products!.!.!.and may well be doing so in order to compensate for lower ability to keep up their own joneses!. Or because they don't know what else to do to derive satisfaction in this life!.!.!.which is sadder still!.
