Ipod touch malfunctioning..?!

Ok, so i have an ipod touch, that doesn't want to charge!.!.nor wants to stay charged!. When i turn it off, it drains all battery still as if i left it on!. So i had i had my mom call while i was in school, to see what could be wong, and they said, restore it!. so she did, hasnt helped!. Im restoring it again!.!.now and hope maybe since it is my ipod, it likes me more haha!. but i had also noticed on itunes!.!.where it charges, the little lightning bolt that you normally get!.!.it isnt there!. and it wont charge it!.
