I believe that what people perceive as "ghosts" are not "spirits of the dead", but rather demons impersonating people!. The Bible tells us that when we die, we neither go straight to Heaven nor Hell, nor float around as "ghosts", but "sleep" in the grave until Christ returns, in an unconscious state, completely unaware of the passage of time, They have no awareness whatsoever!. When Christ returns, the Saved will be resurrected back to physical life, into a perfect, immortal body, then taken to Heaven with Him!. The wicked dead will remain dead for another 1,000 years until Christ returns again to judge the wicked, at which time they will be resurrected back into their old mortal bodies, then they will be judged!. Then Hellfire will rain down from Heaven and completely consume them, never to exist again!. (They will not be "tortured" forever!.)
That being said, Satan likes to deceive people by impersonating the dead (after all, they know everything there is to know about everyone)!. The belief that people "go on living" after death is unscriptural - it is called "spiritism" and it is part of the Occult!. The Bible says that God alone is immortal!. Immortality is a gift He bestows only upon the Saved, and only then at His return!.
These "ghosts" (demons) can even appear to be friendly and helpful; they can even imitate religious figures!. This is how they gain human trust!. Then they communicate things about the "afterlife that are lies, like "everybody goes to Heaven" and stuff like that!. People who don't know their scripture are then fooled by it, because they are overwhelmed by the experience!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am big fan of Ghost Hunters on the SciFi channel but if I thought there was a ghost where I lived , I would be out of the house the next day!.
Scientifically speaking , I do believe there is life after death but as far as proof goes , it's a little dicey!. If you watch Ghost Hunters International, one of the investigators named Barry has used a full light spectrum camera that shows thing in infrared and ultraviolet light, these are ends of the light spectrum humans don't see!. On recent investigations he is starting to record things that look like apparitions!. So I think some day spirit activity may lose it's spooky character and we will view all energy in different forms, and it will be a scientific field like the study of hurricanes is today!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
