Yes! It's called caffeine and it acts like a mild stimulant!. Lots of people drink coffee to, either, give them a wake up boost in the morning, or, if they know they are going to have a long day to keep them going!. So, if you drink too much of it, it will kind of give you a buzz!. And, yes, it can have an addictive effect, as it is known that some people cannot wake up properly without a mug of their favourite drink and will get cranky if they can't have a slurp first thing!.
Some energy drinks have a more concentrated amount of caffeine in them to give you that needed stimulant effect, but it's well known that drinking too much caffeine based drinks, including (& especially) high energy drinks, isn't good for you and can even cause heart problems if not careful!.

It sounds like you may need to reduce your caffeine intake if you say that you are feeling addicted to it!. Try caffeine free coffee, tea and keep away from certain carbonated drinks and especially high energy drinks!.
