Why can't you get served at a bar if you are visibly intoxicated? isn't !

Question: Why can't you get served at a bar if you are visibly intoxicated!? isn't that the point of going to a bar!?
Answers:
Because a bar owner can get sued if you are overserved by them and you go out and kill or injure yourself of someone else!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

because when you get behind the wheel of a car and kill someone, the bar is responsible if they have been serving you after you become "visibly drunk"!. also giving more booze to a visibly drunk person may also lead to falls, or alcohol poisoning on premises which is also opening you up for a law suit!. I'm not saying it's right, but it's the truth!.

Reminds me of an old George Carlin line:
"Another term I don't like, legally drunk!. Well if it's legal, what's the f**king problem!. Leave my friend alone officer he's legally drunk!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

A pony walks into a bar and says "Bartender, may I have a drink!?"

Bartender says "What!? I can't hear you!. Speak up!"

"May I please have a drink!?"

"What!? You have to speak up!"

"Could I please have a drink!?"

"Now listen, if you don't speak up I will not serve you!."

"I'm sorry, I'm just a little hoarse!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you are driving, intoxication slows your reaction time and can cause you to make bad decisions which could cost people to lose their lives!. You could become one of those people!. The reason you go to a bar should be to socialize which most likely includes drinking, but should not include becoming intoxicated!. Of course, this may not be the case for many who frequent bars!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Bartenders don't like to do it if you are acted drunk because they can get into a lot of trouble!. If that person gets in an accident or something then the bar can be sued and the bartender will probably lose their job!. It's embarassing though! I've been told lots of times that they won't serve me and I didn't think I was acting drunk but I guess I was wrong!Www@Enter-QA@Com

no the idea of pubs is to socialise who wants to be sociable with a drunk

to the perosn who gave me a thumbs down read this

if you are in a pub and complain about a drunk the owner throws him out

but if you complain that a customer is sober the owner will throw you out because he will believe you are drunk

now do you understand

i got a thumbs down must be a drunk that does not like the truthWww@Enter-QA@Com

Only if your an alcoholic!. Bars are meant for "social drinking"!. It's your choice if you want to over do it and get completely sloshed!. The bartender can stop serving you if they think you've had to much because they're responsible for your safety while your there, and in some cases when you leave especially if your driving drunk!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because it makes the bar-keep liable for what happens to you!. If you go into an alcoholic stupor, or even are unconscious, they can be held accountable for serving you too much!. Even if you were at another bar!.
Www@Enter-QA@Com

because the bars believe it or not are legally obligated to cut you off!. if not and they get even more drunk and die or crash their car into someone and they die the bar can also have legal charges brought against it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hi Boo,
If you have had to much to drink and the bartender keeps serving you and you get into an accident then the bar is responsible for you!.
Your Friend,
poppy1Www@Enter-QA@Com

For your own protection!. Someone could get thoroughly intoxicated and then get into a car and drive causing death and destruction!. The server and the owner of the bar could be sued as well!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well you obviously don't need anymore, they don't want you to get alcohol poisoning or something and they don't want hot messes passing out on their floor!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because legally it is not allowed and the bar can be cited if an intoxicated person leaves their establishment and commits a crime like a DUI or worse!. The law will hold the bar responsible even in Las Vegas!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I know! But oh well!.!.!. what can we do!?

Whoops, sorry for just typing that out without thinking!. But yeah, bartender can get in trouble if you have too much!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

you are not allowed to be intoxicated in public eitherWww@Enter-QA@Com

preaching to the choir!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
