Question: Customer service: was this rude!?
I went to a convenient store this morning to buy a soda!. I didn't have any cash so I pulled out my mom's American express card and the woman looked down at it and told me they don't take credit cards and I said "but everyone takes credit cards" since honestly this is the first place I went to that didn't accept credit cards and she said "This isn't the mall princess, cash only please" So I left without it!. Was that rude of her should I complain to her manager about it!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

Her comment "This isn't the mall princess" was rude; however, many stores would refuse to take a credit card from someone other than the cardholder for such a small amount!. Many stores require the cardholder to be present and the purchase to be a minimum or $5 or so!.
Despite her comment being a bit rude, you shouldn't complain about it!. Is your skin so thin that you can't handle the slightest off comment!? She's working at a dead end job for low wages, and she probably hears people complaining about credit cards all day, when it's not anything she can control!. A lot of convenience stores don't accept cards!. It's too expensive for them to process the cards, especially just for a can of soda!. That's the way it is in the real world!. Maybe she should have been nicer about it, but I can't say I wouldn't have reacted the same way!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
It's a convenience store, not the mall!. There are a number of places that only accept Visa or Mastercard anyway!. The clerk probably thought you were being a smartass in the first place!. No, don't complain!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Sorry, but that was kinda funny!.!.!.!.!.!.!.people have it tough at those convenience stores, so a attitude should be expected some times!. I would have said something then and there instead of asking about it on Yahoo Answers, though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
