Wait for housing prices to drop a little more then buy up some real estate, get advice before you do that!.Regarding the rest of it, with the stock market as it is at the moment I'd suggest a nice safe lower yielding investment such as term deposits (that's what they are called in Australia), I think someone told me they call them bonds there in the USA!.
Anyway, the credit squeeze is on too, so even banks aren't as safe as they were, so break up the nest egg into a number of bonds/term deposits with different banks!. You have to give a few days notice if you need to withdraw them in an emergency, so that protects you a bit from impulse spending!.
Every time I save a certain amount I stick it in another term deposit, it's a great way to save!.

you could donate some to the starving people, buy something you really want, if you won heaps maybe give some to your closest family like parents and siblings or anyone you feel would appreciate it, spend it on things thst you no will just be more exspensive as they get older!. like a old car!. a house in a nice area or something, stuff you wont loose out on

If you have not yet claimed your ticket, get a tax attorney before you do so!. Bank most of it, and invest carefully!.
