Got bitten by an unknown insect and got cellulitis on my thigh =(
it was extremely swollen and tender and when the doctor saw it he called out to his assistant and they both gawked at it and said it was the biggest they had ever seen, talk about awkward moments!.!.!.

But anyways, took some antibiotics and was good as new in a week except for a small barely noticeable dent in my left thigh!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

When I was a kid living in Texas mosquito bites were pretty common!. They also have something commonly called a Chigger!. These are tiny red spider mites that bore into your skin!. Chiggers can be extremely painful and make you want to scratch the bite!. The problem is the more you scratch the more it itches!.

Most kids who live outside large cities have had wasp or bee bites!. These are so common that most people take them for granted and as part of the growing up process!. I'm sure I was bitten a few times but the memory is long gone!.

Interesting thing I learned about many insect bites is that many insects are more attracted to certain types of people than others!. A lot of this has to do with the person's body chemistry and diet!. People with too much body fat, people who eat a lot of sugar or sweets, people with more glucose in their system, are more likely to have insects attracted to them!. It's about the body's metabolism!.

After leaving home, going into the service and living on my own my diet changed considerably!. Now when I go back home to visit, my family will sit on the porch on a Spring (or Fall) evening!. The mosquitoes come!. The same people get bit a lot!. The others are left alone!. Mosquitoes haven't bothered me in twenty years!.

As to spider bites!? I don't think I've ever been bitten by one!. Snakes, yes (which don't count here)!. But a spider!? No!.

EDIT: I was just now doing some reading about Chiggers on Wikipedia and found out they have these in both Australia and Asia! Wow! But Wikipedia doesn't say if they are called by a different name there!. And in both Asia and Australia can carry something called 'Scrub Typhus', which doesn't sound like it's a joy to have!. So, my friend, I hope you're staying clear of Australian Chiggers!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Just little tiny bits that didn't bother me too much!. My blood is poisonous, so when they bite me they die slowly while I laugh and rip off their legs one by one!. Damn spiders!.
