It's not all that close to the equator!. Hawaii is closer to the equator, and it is hot all year there!.
It's not cold in the winter In Florida, it can just get a little chilly!.

It is not that close, sub-tropical!. I've lived here all my life and I had to work one Christmas day when it was 10 degrees!. My pipes froze because I didn't know to let the faucet drip!. I've seen muggy winters too!. We always hope for a Christmas around 40 degrees!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
