Yes!. It was in late 1984, I was in High School at the time!. I was the same fat kid with glasses I always had been, nobody's real definition of a jock!.

I was helping a neighbor with fixing his car: swapping out the rear axle and leaf springs on his *old* station wagon!. Late 1970s Pontiac, wood on the sides, huge massive pre-Mini-van *Boat* of a car!. The thing weighed in at over a ton and a half, easily!. The rear axle itself was about as heavy as *I was* back then!.

One day, after the rear axle was taken out, the neighbor was under the car fiddling with the transmission, when the car jack gave out!. I held the rear end of the station wagon up until he could get out from under the thing!. At the time I thought nothing of it--neither did my family, since they were some messed up people!. But I was sore for *days* afterward!.

Here's the thing though!. I don't think it was all adrenaline!.

--I have asthma, and when I was younger, I had it bad!. I was on an inhaler (albuterol sulfate) at the time, and yeah, some inhalers can have steroid-like effects!.

--My family was seriously messed up!. Long story short, one could submit I was stressed out every *day* and that the adrenaline was closer to the surface, inhaler or not!.

--And!.!.!.while I wasn't a jock, I did do the one strength training I could afford to do!.!.!.isometric exercises!. Pushing, pulling and lifting "immovable objects" until they broke or budged!. When my mother, aunts and uncles needed a car pushed, I was one of the go-to-folks for that push!.!.!.!.had been since I was 12!.

So I'm not all sure it was just adrenaline!. Even though I was what, 17, 18 at the time!? *lolz* ^_^Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, but many wouldn't consider it amazing!.

I am only a youngster, thirteen to be exact!. I run Cross-Country, indoor track, and outdoor track - basically anything that involves distance running!.
While I have a lot of endurance and have won several medals for my ability, I am not the greatest!.
Anyway, I had a Cross-Country race against 400 other girls!. Many of the girls were much bigger than me, and came from large schools!. "I don't have a chance against any of these girls!.!.!." I told myself at the starting line!.

I came in 1st place with my time barely adding up to 12 minutes!. I have no idea where I became strong enough to defeat those girls but I did, all 400 of them!.

Ehhh!.!.!.I tried to think of something I had done that would be considered good work!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

When my son was about 4, we stopped at a cemetery, and he ran into an old tombstone!. The top fell off and it landed on his hands, pinning them to the base!. It was a solid stone piece and I picked it up and threw it away from him!. I don't know how I managed to pick it up, much less throw it!.

He had 2 broken fingers, but was ok other than that!. He is now 11 he doesn't remember much about it!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yup!.!.!.restraining a screaming, kicking, hitting, pinching, scratching, biting, spitting 5 year old GIRL for 20 minutes at my job!!!!! And I lived to tell the tale!.!.!.I can't believe I actually had to do it!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
