Question: I have a fellow that has applied for a job at my business!?
And as I was doing a background check I found out that he has a bad criminal record (sex offenses) I am a new business, should I hire him!? Give him a chance at life, or just let him fall by the wayside and hire someone else!? BTW my business is a garage, I repair cars and such!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Since he was upfront about his past it would be nice of you to give him a chance if he is good at what you need him for ! My son got a bum deal from his ex wife & if it wasn't for him being able to go back into his own business he would never be hired to work fo any one ! She lied
& he got 2 years in prison for her lies,not fair ! Now he has a felony on

That is a tough one, You are going to have to follow your gut on this one!.
But if you do hire him make sure he isn't dealing directly with the customers!.
Need to also make sure none of the customers leave any personal items that has their names and addresses on them in the cars he is working on!.

Did he lie on his application saying he didnt have a record!? if so i woodnt hire him!. Otherwise i would interview him and try to tell by that!. also check if he is a repeat offender!. Nobody should be blancked because of their past, but u need to know he is changed!. I wouldnt want someone in that situaton working for me if i thought he would be up to no good again!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It depends on what type of sex offenses he has!. If it's rape or stalking than i don't think so, but if he slept with a minor than give him a chance!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
