Question: Survey: "Graphic pictures on Cigarette Packs"!?
Did you hear that they are going to put pictures of Rotting teeth and pictures of open surgery on the cover of Cigarette packs to try and put smokers off!.

I personally think that is very unfair to NON smokers!. Imagine if a little girl was in a supermarket with her mum and saw a graphic picture of open heart surgery on a cigarette pack!. I think it's horrible idea!.

It's illegal for supermarkets to place cigarette packets where little girls can see them!. If the child's mother buys cigarettes, takes them home and lets her see the packet at least the child will know what she's being exposed to!.
It's a complete waste of time!. Cigarette smokers either know they are killing themselves or they are in total denial!. No amount of graphic imagery will stop them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i used to smoke, and believe me when you get the bacci out the pouch, you don't give a second glance to what the warning on the side says!. apart from every now and then when i got a "kills sperm count" one, those were the funniest!.
anyway i've quit now, had nothing to do with the warnings!. photos will make no difference, smokers already know what it causes, and yet they still do it!.
if you stuck a photo of an aborted fetus on an abortion clinic, would it make any difference!? probably not, eventhough that is a good idea!.

Well I guess it would make the little girl not want to start when she's a young teen, I think an even better thing would for schools to take kiddies around hospital wards dealing with respiratory diseases and problems, I gave up smoking fairly quickly after being in one after a near fatal Asthma attack and can confirm that seeing rows of people with oxygen masks is quite an eye opening sight!
There is the problem though that certain young people might even like the packaging and buy them because of it!. I for one used to buy the brand of cigarettes called "Death" as a young chap because the Skull logo fitted in with my image!Www@Enter-QA@Com

If there's one thing I absolutely hate, it's waiting at a bus stop, having smoke bellowed into my face from the grubby woman next to me!.
Second hand smoke is a huge killer here, and it's not fair that we non-smokers should have to put up with it!.
My mum works at a care home for the elderly, and 70% of her work colleagues smoke, and they get approximately 30-45 minutes EXTRA "Smoking" breaks, but still get paid the same as her!.
And this is fair why!? Smoking effects us all in different ways, using graphical techniques to put people off is just what this country needs!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I dont think it will make much difference! If they want everyone to stop smoking, the only way would be to stop making and selling them!. That would of course cause protests about people's rights and cigarette companies care about their money more than people's health so nothing is going to change anytime soon!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i think its good because it puts people off!. i hate smokers!. Plus, even if a little girl sees it, she will never even think about smoking again!.
