Because it shows questions to people all over the world - not just on Yahoo! UK & Ireland!. It's just a marketing gimmick making essentially the same website country-specific except for the homepage!. On the net we are citizens of the world!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Because they're bigger countries than the UK - therefore more people! Plus you have the option to chose the All English answers or UK & Ireland!.!.!.if you choose All English it incorporates All English speaking countries!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the reason there are more Americans is because they have a larger population and therefore more people have the choice of being members!.
