When I was a teenager in Decatur, Illinois, the average price was 21!.9 cents a gallon but there was a gas war going on almost constantly and it would get as low as 10!.9 cents a gallon!.

When I was 20, you could get propane to heat your house for 10!.4 cents a gallon!. A 20 pound tank like you use on your grill was $1!.00
