I have two Yorkies the same age!. One weighs 5 pounds and the other 4 pounds!. I think they would both tell me how sad it makes them when I go away and leave them alone and how joyous it is when I take them!. The larger one and I would ask the smaller one why he picks a fight when he knows he will always lose to the larger dog!. They would both beg for people food every day and like another answer they would ask why we tell them to stop barking when they never tell us to stop talking!. The larger dog would want me to run with him on our walks and the smaller would ask to just be left at home - he hates talking walks!. I believe that any time I talk to them they understand what I'm saying or at least the emotion it invokes in me and that they would confirm it!. also, they would let me know that they like it when I talk things over with them!. They always understand and never judge - they'd want me to know that too!.Right now they're perfectly healthy but they' re both 12 and sooner or later I will most likely have to make the hardest decision of my life!. They would tell me what signal they will give me when they are ready to go!. Their only request would be that I was with them at the end if at all possible!. I've now managed to work myself into a crying jag so I think it;s time to end this!. Great question
