No it absolutely does not!. As a matter of fact, I am one of those that calls people by those endearments!. It is a way of letting a complete stranger know that we are all in this together and it is a heck of a lot better than being told F@#k off!. I come from the southern states in the US and that is just an appreciated term!. One saying we have down there!.!. You can draw more flies with honey than you can with vinegar!. So thanks for askin "dahlin, sweetie, honey" :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
it depends on the person, if it's a 15 year old girl calling me that its offensive, if it's an old lady or old man calling me that i don't mind, and if it's a hot guy he can call me anything he wants

No!. Not at all!. I suppose it depends on the tone of the person saying the word!. So mostly I don't find peoples terms of endearment insulting or belittling!. Most of the time people don't even realise they are saying it, so why let it upset you!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
hmm i don't get bugged by it and neither should you!.
I mean sure it depends on who says it and how they said it and all of that jazz!. But its not a big deal, unless its a creepy guy or woman then you should be worried and i would try to stay away form that person!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

not one tiny bit!. They are terms of endearment!. I agree that familiarity breeds contempt but where I come from we are just being nice!. I love being given nice greetings etc!. It could depend on how it is said!. Sometimes from a man ( Darling) can appear patronising!. Call me what you will I don`t mind!.
folk will hate me as I call people pet lamb and angel etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Nope not at all!. My husband is one of those people!. He's very bad with names and calls everyone hon so I figure if someone calls me something like that, they just forgot my name!. I don't get offended by little things like that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Usually!.
It makes it sound as if they're seeing you as they see a child!.
But some people can get away with using those terms without making it sound like they're talking down to you!.!.!.!.I don't mind it then!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
