Answers:
I've had a couple minor procedures done and really, you're so out of it from the anesthesia when you're waking up to be upset and with me anyway, they were so busy talking and asking questions when they're putting you under that you don't have time to be upset either!. You have to remember that they do these surgeries all day every day too and you'll be fine!.

EDIT; Just saw your edit!.!.!. SHE'll be fine then!.!.!. Tell her not to worry!. They do these all day long and anesthesiologists have to be VERY experienced!.

EDIT 2: LOL, well I know some people are just like that and are gonna worry no matter what but just please realize how seriously these people take their jobs!.!. honestly!.!.!.!. I work in a hospital!. I work with these people every day!. There is nothing more important to them than the welfare and safety of their patients and just explain to her that they monitor you continuously while you're under!!!. I know that some people are just worriers when someone they love is having even minor surgery!. Anyway, good luck with your surgery!.!.!.!. I hope everything goes well and your recovery time is short!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

In the past year I've been under the effects of general anesthesia three times and the answer is the same for all three: Waking up!. The reason is simple!. When you wake up you are most likely still going to be feeling the effects of the anesthesia!. It might be for only a little while, but the residual effect could last for hours!. In my case, the mind always works fine but sometimes the body won't cooperate!. For me the test to get out of the recovery room has always been the ability to get up and walk (usually to the bathroom)!.

If surgery is necessary and you are confident in your hospital and doctor then you must place a reasonable amount of trust in their abilities which means you must also have a reasonable amount of trust in the anesthesiologist who is responsible for putting you to sleep and keeping you at the level necessary for the surgeon to do his job and then bringing you back to a normal conscious state!. But to help the operating room people do the job they are required to do it is imperative for the patient to answer every one of the multitude of questions these trained professionals will ask and to do it with complete honesty!.

Considering the thousands and thousands of times each day that people undergo surgical procedures that require a degree of unconsciousness the odds of not waking up after a procedure while not being zero are certainly very small indeed!. There is always a chance of a problem that will result in death but the odds are about the same as flying in a commercial aircraft - almost nonexistent!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes im scared, i think the worst!.!.!.like being put to sleep, but the anesthesia not working properly, so i would be paralyzed and feel everything they are doing to me without being able to move or say anything!.!.!.that's the scary part!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

being put to sleep because they would joke (but i didn't no they were joking at the time) and they would be like okay shes knocked out we can start as i was still sorta awake!. it freaked me out so much, i started flipping out in the room, but it was all fine!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No!. I have had several major surgeries the last couple of years, with the last one being eight hours of complicated, high risk surgery!. The worst part is waking up to the most mind bending pain imaginable!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Scared of having a problem of going for surgery!. Once I have it, I will not be scared of surgery!. Nothing wrong being put to sleep during surgery!. It is bad when you are woken up during the surgery!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The worst part is definitely the waking up - if I could just wake up without still feeling the effects of the medication it would be fine!.

Tell her not worry!. They'll take good care of her and she'll be just fine!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It actually depends upon the place where I get operated!.!.!.!.!.!. The worst part is after waking up only!.!.!.!.!. The pain makes you suffer a lot!.!.!.!. Well, even this depends upon the surgery only!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i would say waking up and the surgery is just finishing that happened to me when i got my wisdom teeth removed Www@Enter-QA@Com
