Question: Would you let or get your child's ears pierced (or any other facial piercings)under the age of 13!?
hello, i really think its awfully and tacky to see baby's with there ear's pierced!.
i had to wait until i was 13 to get mine done!.!.!.

I guess I must be somewhat of a liberal parent!. My kids got their ears done when my oldest was 5 and my youngest was 2!. They wanted them, I never brought it up to them but they saw other kids with them and wanted them!. They dont have any other peircings, but I would let them if they wanted to!. They are 5 and 8 now!. The reason I say I would let them is because I now how I was when I was a kid, and I did get myself peirced in unsafe ways because my parents wouldn't let me, and got infections from it, and I wouldn't want my kids to do that!. My basic philosophy is this - if it isn't permanent, like peircing, hair colors, hair styles, whatever, then they can have them!. I won't allow anything permanent -like tattoos- until they are of age!. I'm sure that will get me some thumbs downs, but I think that kids should be able to express themselves in different ways and have their parents be supportive of who they are as individuals!. And I think it makes me closer to my kids in the sense that they won't feel the need to be a secretive with me as some kids are with their parents!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yes, I would let or get my child's ears pierced (no other facial piercings) under the age of 13!. My mom got me my ears pierced when I was only a month old!. Any piercings other than ear piercing shouldn't be done at any age!. I'm never going to get anything other than my ears pierced!. In my opinion, it's ugly and disgusting!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Then again 2 more when I was 12!.
I got my bellybutton pierced when I was 13!.
After that, I got many facial piercings but took them out recently because they *do* look tacky!.

If they really wanted it, I would let them!. Depends on how young you're talking though!.!.!.

I'd let them get any piercing they want when they're older!.
At 13 I'd let them get whatever they wanted!. All though probably not the septum at 13 because they're still growing and it could go crooked!.

No i would leave it and let my child make the conscious decision that they want their ears pierced!. It's their ears not mine, so i have no right to stick holes in them on my own say-so which is what annoys me so much when i see very little children with their ears pierced because they clearly have had no say in the matter at all!

I have two daughters and got their ears pierced as babies!. Its better that way!. They don't even notice it being done and I think they DO look cute!.
My grand daughter is 4 months old and has had hers done!.

I got my first ear piercings at 2 (i kept trying to force my mother's earrings through my ears, so she got them done for me)
and my seconds at 10!.
It doesn't really bother me, but I wouldn't get any other piercings done on anyone young like that!. I only got my nose done at 14!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I got my ears pierced at age 6,and I think that was fine!.Companies like Avon have earrings for children,so obviously they are using them!.Under age 3 would be too weird though!.But once they can be dressed up and look cute,why not!?As for other piercings,no age is right!Www@Enter-QA@Com
I don't think babies should have their ears pierced, but I don't mind seeing it on, say, a 6 yr!. old!. I was 13, also, but my daughter doesn't even want hers pierced yet, even though all her little girlfriends have theirs, and she's 6!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I was one when I got mine pierced, I guess that's normal in India though (I don't live there anymore but i was born there), my sister had hers done at six months though!. If I had kids I'd let them get their ears pierced however old they are but other piercings when they are old enough to make mature decisions

Ears pierced when they're aware and ask for themselves!. Nose (nostril not septal) if they ask at 14 or after!. No other piercings while their underage, and otherwise discouraged!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
