Question: What would you do if you had it your way!?
Answers:
You know, after surviving a Short Disaster of a Marriage (to an abusive, violent sociopath), having to pay a lot of $$$$$$ to this abusive ex (who emptied my bank accounts and then was able to hire a lawyer during the divorce process that went after me for much more than what he stole from me) !.!.!. having survived more than the two decades since then (with the Ex stalking me, burglarizing my home/car/office !.!.!. stealing my identity, etc at odd times) !.!.!.
I would DEFINITELY REFORM this horrific process to allow the individuals who SURVIVE The abuse, who have to deal with the aftermath of this to ACHIEVE JUSTICE !.!.!. to make sure that jerks like my EX NEVER AGAIN PROFIT OFF THE HARD WORK of those Responsible Adults (like myself who work hard for our incomes) and who FINALLY !.!. finally !.!. will see these horrible ex-es where they belong -- RECEIVING Punishment (including a bit of the SAME they dished out) for their CRIMES!.
This means -- Starting RIGHT with the LAWS, then replacing ALL The Judges on the Bench (there is NO EXCUSE for DELIBERATELY GIVING all the financial data openly to the abuser/user so that they can STEAL the identity of the innocent party or use it to completely and totally destroy their financial security), to making sure that LAW ENFORCEMENT DOES HELP when a VICTIM/SURVIVOR Calls for help -- and the ex (like my own) GOES IMMEDIATELY TO JAIL -- and is NOT ALLOWED to keep tormenting their survivors!.
I'd also REFORM the Child/Family Services too -- for as a RESPONSIBLE PARENT (who did call in the abuse complaint against the EX who was convicted of ABUSING the children) !.!.!. I can say this -- I found the process to be NASTY, ABUSIVE !.!.!. and re-victimized me/the children in the process!. I carry with me (for the rest of my life) the SCARS on my body (and the horror of finding my children's abuse AFTER a FORCED Court Visitation) !.!.!. the PROCESS did NOT protect the victims -- it protects the ABUSER and DEGRADES the victims/survivors!. These individuals (case workers) are arrogant, unhelpful (at best) and abusers themselves!. I will carry the horror of having to navigate this 'system' (all in the mis-guided notion of 'protecting HIS parental rights) to my grave!.
FINALLY !.!. finally -- RESTRAINING/Protective Orders requests should be IMMEDIATELY and PERMANENTLY Granted -- and MEAN SOMETHING -- so we (the survivors) do NOT have to FEAR any longer!. The ones who ABUSE (and are guilty) !.!.!. need to be tracked electronically (through GPS) to provide the SAFETY we deserve!.
