when I saw you
yes you
it was you
I knew and
I thought
just you
shopping at Ross
at Ross where I
shop shop shop too!?
sadly with great
tears of darn its
I had
had no courage
to tap you
to call you
to beckon you
to pinch gently
your shoulder
spindly as it was
and say
"sup home scone"
because
I was scared -
real scared
like a scared
medium height
person
of sorts and
although it was
you who I knew
who bought
socks and paid
and exited and left
and drove oh oh oh
so far away
I will
always remember you
