Most european countries have food standards so strict that half of the crap they sell in the U!.S!. wouldn't be allowed there!.

Americans often like to slap the name of a European Food onto one of their concoctions and call it that!.
The first time I got the American version of a "Wiener Schnitzel"
I about fell out of my chair!. I expected to get breaded veal and ended up with a cut up hot dog in some kind of tomato sauce!.

French and German Food Standards aren't anything you can imagine!.
We usually make things from scratch and a restaurant or bakery wouldn't dare use frozen dough or other premixed ingredients!.
The starter doughs are unique to each area and that is why the breads aren't the same uniform plastic tasting crap you buy in the U!.S!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because of differences in the soil and seeds, European flours and products are different from what's in the US!. There is also the fact that the breads are baked in different types of ovens!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
