Question: Survey: This isn’t a big deal at all, but does this idea bother or confuse you too!? Yes or No!?
America is not U!.S!.A!. America is the name for a whole continent, and actually it’s the name of two continents if you want to get technical!. Nevertheless, if people (normally foreigners) say “America,” they’re really referring to the United States most of the time!. It doesn’t bother me when people in the United States say “America” because you know right away that they’re referring to their own country!. However, say that a person outside North America uses “America,” the meaning becomes unclear!. The only way you can tell is by the subject of the discussion that they’re talking about the U!.S!. People from Canada are called Canadians!. People from Mexico are called Mexicans!. People from the United States are called!.!.!.!. Americans!? So how come people from the United States are called “Americans,” when there are two other countries in the continent called North America!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
I've never thought of that before, that's an interesting point you have there!. I'd assume it's because you wouldn't call them "Unitedens", or call them by the State they're from, so that only leaves the A bit!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
