I do some times but I usually don't have the luxury of time!. My reasons for taking the scenic route home from work would be to avoid the traffic!. Some times, even if your just "moving along" (it could be at a slow pace), it feels better than to be sitting in bumper to bumper traffic (waiting and waiting and waiting)!.

I always take the scenic route home!. You're right, in the fall you get the great leaf colors, in Spring there are incredible wildflowers!. We don't have snow here, so I don't get that in winter, but there is still a calmness to the country then!. Summer is hot and dry, but there are deer, squirrels and birds to see then!. It's not wasting time if it heals your soul to take the scenic route!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
the only route I have home is scenic!. I drive along hwy!. 1 in Calif!. and most of the drive is along the ocean!. I see sunsets a lot or that time of day when the fog is in a little bit and the sun is on the edge of the ocean and it is all grays, mauve and violet!. Take time to look in your environment and you will find beauty!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yes I walked through the fair, had a hot dog, brandy snaps, nougat!. Looked at lots of dangerous rides then came home!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No!. The only scenic byways in Oregon are on the coast, really!. But I always do if I'm driving home from the coast!

Depending on the weather I would take the Mountain road home just to see Lough Neagh, which happens to be the biggest lough in the UK!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
