I was in the city yesterday and I saw this guy a little older than me (early 20s!?) and I walked past him - blanking him like everyone else!.
It really wiped the smile of my face!.

The other day I was walking through the streets and saw an old man in the rain with old worn out clothes and looked cold!. Lucky there was a op-shop nearby bought him a warm coat and an umbrella- cost ten dollars!. Will not give money to the homeless for many reasons!.

If its the case that you give money to a homeless person & they then run off & buy a case of beer, why bother!. Money isn't the cause of poverty, it's the way you spend it!. Thing with homeless people is you never know what the circumstances were that lead them to living on the streets!. It could be the case they are a victim of their own circumstance, i!.e!.- I drank too much booze, I got myself into drugs, I gambled too much, I bought a house that was more then what I could afford & can't pay the mortgage!.

A couple months ago my neighbor became homeless and started living in in his car!. I gave him food and $20 but he's a problem person!. He doesn't want to work, just do drugs and that's it!. I feel sorry for him!. Still it's better to give directly to the person: charities scam people!. When you call for help they don't help you, that's my experience, I know that they keep the money to buy luxury items for themselves!. Charities are a ripoff!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Very true!.!. you never know if they are really homeless or not but if in doubt !.!. Please give !.!.!.it could mean a hot meal or a cup of coffee it could mean enough for a cot to sleep in out of the cold for one night we are all so fortunate to have a roof over our heads and plenty of fresh hot food to eat but always remember!.!.!. We never know what has brought these people to this point in their lives Please give what you can it must be a horrible miserable way to live I have heard of some people actually making a living by doing this in strategic big city locations, but if you shun them and just look away ,you will by pass the people who are really suffering You will be rewarded!.!. for your kindness !. this summer on my way to work!.!.!.!.I ignored him everyday!.!.!.!.but this day was different!.!.!.as I walked up to him I pictured myself homeless, hungry without shelter when it rains or snows in the upcoming months!.!.!.and then I looked at how this man actually came out of subway and gave him his entire sand which!.!.!.I gave the man everything I had in my pockets!.!.!.after that I felt good knowing that I did a good deed and hoped only that the homeless man would take that money and go find a shelter or more food perhapsWww@Enter-QA@Com
I did the "white-male-over- privileged-guilt" thing and I let a homeless person stay at my apartment and eat with me for a few days !. He didn't hurt me or steal from me while I was at work but he made no effort to improve himself!. I gave him an address for a job application and made friends with him!. He just didn't want to work!. My mom still gets PO'ed when I tell this story!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The last time I gave something to homeless people it was at my old job about 2 years ago, you don't see them around here often because I live in a small town!.
But homeless men use to come into the restaurant where I worked and I would always buy them a meal until I got in trouble from my boss, he said Im not aloud because they will expect it from everyone all the time!.!.!.so I had to stop!.!. :'(Www@Enter-QA@Com

Sorry you are not in a Joker mood today, but never, ever, forget, that you could end up homeless, in your life! I guarantee that you would learn to have a whole different outlook on homeless people! You need to see the very good in all people, and maybe it would make you an incredibly happier person in life!!

In my religion, we have to give the poor 2% of what you make!. If everyone could be like that, there would be so much less poverty in the world!. I also give to the poor if I see them!. I live in a country where you have a lot of beggars, so I try to have spare change on me always to give them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I work for a larger pizza company, I instituted to use the dough that was just going to be thrown away in the morning, and any wrong pizzas, not picked up pizzas etc, but saved in the walk in, and every week we have local ffof banks in each city pick it up, you wouldn't believe how excited kids are to see a frozen pizza from our comPanyWww@Enter-QA@Com

Last time was when I was walking in town with two friends!. This guy who was sitting with two others came across to us and said 'We are trying to gather enough for a bottle of wine!. Can you help us out!?' And I gave him a fiver for his honesty!. My friend, when asked for money once, went in to M&S and bought the guy a sandwich - and he was not best pleased! Www@Enter-QA@Com

I really havent seen any homeless people lately!.!.!.at least around where i live!.
But a few months ago my dad saw a homeless man and gave him 20$!! He told him to save it and spend it wisely, but he ran to buy a pack of beer :[

I was at the park about 2 months ago and there was a homeless man sleeping on one of the benches and I had a perfectly good apple in my bag so I put it him on the bench!.

I learned a long time ago that if you give them money they use it to buy booze,smokes or drugs, when ever I get approached I offer them to buy them a meal some have accepted others tell me where to go!.We always donate cloths end grocery's for charity'sWww@Enter-QA@Com
