I'd have to say daydreams!. They're things we fantasize about yet most likely will never come true thus leaving us unfulfilled!.
Night dreams are designed to help us face things we cannot face when we are awake!. Mine are fun!. Except for those when someone is chasing me and I wake up feeling like I've just done 20 marathons!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think, daydreams!.!.!.You're more consious during a daydream, and so you're more aware of the details, and you have some control over daydreams as you are actually building a fantasy you would like to see happen!. A daydream can keep you engrossed for several minutes or even an hour or more
Nightdreams, on the other hand are not as clear, many times have no pattern of flow, jump from scenario to scenario, change subjects, are inconsistent, and many times, what you can recall of them makes no sense!. Night dreams, according to experts, actually last only a few seconds or minutes!.

Night dreams are more haunting!. Daydreams come to us in times of wandering thoughts, but are usually simpler & we are awake and better able to decipher them!. Can honestly say I can't recall the last time I was daydreaming!.
And usually sleep so heavily at night (well, the day in my case as I work nights) that I don't remember dreams!. I assume I have them, but the conscious me has no knowledge!.
I either would scare the crap out of me these days, lol!.

Daydreams because more often then not they tend to happen for real and thats scary! I can never really remember my nightdreams although they are usually very vivid, and I can remember havingone but not what they were about!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The ghosts in my memories haunt me more than either, but my daydreams are generally more pleasant than my night dreams, which on occasion are pure nightmares of things I still can't say much about due to national security issues!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It depends on your dream/s!. If it happens to be very scary and it happened in day time so its DAYDREAMS!. If its the opposite then its NIGHTDREAMS!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
